A full sun at day and a full moon at night. Unnaturally clear water, white cold sand, countless stars and a full moon that I feel I'll touch if I reach my hand its way. Every week and out of nowhere, a raft comes floating with a new book aboard. I read and I swim then I read again then I swim again. Eternity is a long way to go.
I do carpentry, I build a huge library. Only the books are too many; so I build another one and another one ... and another.
The days, the months and the years pass by. I close my eyes only for a moment and the moment is gone. I grow old. All my dreams pass before my eyes. My hair turns white, yet it’s still black in my reflection on the clear page of the sea water. I hold the books but I can’t read; I don’t see the words.
The raft still comes every week. The moon still shines every night. I see with my eyes closed, everything is clearer than before. Eternity no longer seems so far away.
